They range from 1-4, 1 being totally fine and 4 being about to explode. We wrote on the cards where his body/mind are at during each stage as well as coping skills, and use them to check in during sessions. This is a great way to help a client who struggles with identifying how they are respond to triggers and what are actually trigger to them. I will stop him from time to time (or when I notice tense or relaxed body language) and have him pull a card of where he is at. We then process the card and why he's at X number, etc.
I also laminated them with self adhering laminating sheets... have I mentioned these before? If I have, well....sorry, I'm not sorry!! ;) They are amazing and everyone should own some! They are great for making a project into something that can be used and re-used!
