Saw this on the ole Pinterest...I believe it said shades of vocabulary in the description but, I thought--shades of emotions, of course!
SO, thats what we did. I had my client give a main emotion to each color, then we made assigned shades of each. For example, green was given sad, dark green was really sad (with a picture and description of what his body would feel like in this color) and light green was kinda sad (and the same was filled in). These shades are great to identify what a client is feeling at a given moment during the session and I often used it with my ASD clients when they are having hard time. I will direct them to pick out where they are on the shades and we go from there! Pretty sweet and easy y'all!
