The Sorry Tree

Have a client that struggles with the concept of apologizing?

This was a little visual to help a kiddo understand that being sorry was more than just a way to get out of trouble and was a good way to talk about problem solving after saying sorry.

We focused on three main points:

1. What to say:  Tips in verbalizing exactly what you want to say to make sure the other person knows you are sorry.

2. How to say it:  This includes eye contact, tone of voice, and body language to show the person you are apologetic.

3. Problem solving:  You said you are sorry, now what?  This will be a good opportunity to talk about what apologizing really means, and how to take things a step further.
